History: A project to create functional super soldiers yielded only one surviving subject, a man named Adrian Steel. The Kronos Project involved risky surgical and chemical augmentations as well as introducing an experimental serum into the man's body which was a variant of the original Super Soldier Serum that had made Captain America a legend. He found his strength and reflexes were much greater than before, at the limits of normal human performance. He was given a suit of eight hundred pound heavy duty titanium armor for use in combat. Adrian served in the Marine Corp for six years before S.H.I.E.L.D. recruited him for his skillset and combat experience, his reputation as a hardened and highly responsive soldier had attracted the attention of Colonel Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and his skill as a sniper made him ideal as a combat oriented field agent. Adrian had quickly worked his way up in the S.H.I.E.L.D. agency to a level 7 agent and had joined the Avengers for a while, being trained in hand to hand combat by a number of teachers, most notably Captain America, Ben Grimm and Luke Cage. On a classified operation in Sweden, Adrian found a powerful Asgardian artifact, the right gauntlet of Beowulf and put it on. The gauntlet granted him vastly increased strength, reflexes and durability of superhuman levels Adrian retired from S.H.I.E.L.D. and left the Avengers after losing a childhood friend during the event known as Dark Reign. He had vanished without a trace for almost a year after, reappearing in time to assist the X-Men in their first encounter with the Sentinels. His powers had grown exponentially after finding the second gauntlet of Beowulf and equipping it. Adrian Steel is also known as Titan. A longtime friend of Hank McCoy and a teacher at the Xavier Institute, Titan believes in the Professor's dream enough to fight to see a peaceful world even if he doesn't live long enough to see that world.
